All back in the nest

This weekend was a looooonng car trip up to Indianapolis to get the Chiles. Thankfully my parents were willing to meet us half-way so that I didn't have to drive all the way up to WI. Still, it was a long 10 hours each way.

I was so excited to see them! Chile #3 was concerned that he wouldn't remember what we looked like but definitley recognized us when they pulled up at the restaurant we met at. He was waving frantically and couldn't hardly get unbuckled from the car seat for his haste to hug us!

Chile #2 had been running a fever for the past 2 days but that didn't keep her from swimming in the hotel pool. Wow! Those 4 weeks of swimming lessons really paid off! Both #2 & #3 are swimming maniacs now! However, we did have a rough night of sleeping due to #2 having a temp and #1 talking in her sleep.

The trip home was largely uneventful. It feels so good to have everyone home and not have to go anywhere for a while. Now I have to start the de-programming process to get out all of the bad habits they acquired during 5 weeks with Grandma & Grandpa.

School starts 2 weeks from today!!! Time to get back into the routine.

Ah, he didn't think he would recognize you? Poor thing, and to have to deal with a fever for that car trip! How horrible.

But ya know, maybe they won't be THAT spoiled, or are they? LOL

Two weeks until school, huh? Ours started full time, today!!!!! And my baby is in kindergarden, and even though I never would have though it, I cried when I dropped her off.

Jay--yeah, my Mom caters to their every whim...although she did a little better this year.

Bina--I'll probably bawl when they're all gone too. My baby starts K also.

Wow, five weeks? That's like 5 years of spoiling in adult time! You may never get them back to normal! LOL
